Please note that the referral service is not available over the Christmas/New Year break. The service will resume on Monday 6th of January, from when you will be able to make an enquiry about therapy by phone, email, or through the website.
The reduced-fee clinic is named after the founder of the ICC, Gillian Parker, and carries on her legacy of providing accessible and affordable psychotherapy to those on lower incomes. The clinic offers a service to those experiencing emotional distress who feel it would be useful to explore their present difficulties in order to manage their lives better and enhance their current relationships.
The clinic offers individual work with a psychotherapist for a maximum of 2 years. Fees range from £35-50.
Referrals are means tested and are taken initially through a phone call or email contact, followed by an assessment on the phone with one of our qualified referral therapists. During this call, we work out if the therapy we offer is appropriate and whether you qualify for the reduced-fee service. In certain cases, a further, in-person assessment may be necessary. This is generally when needs are complex and we wish to think carefully with you about whether the therapy we offer is suitable. The assessment would be with a senior member of ICC Psychotherapy.
All ICC psychotherapists undertake reduced-fee work but spaces are limited so it may be necessary to close the clinic to referrals from time to time. The availability of spaces is clearly shown on our website. Generally, the spaces available will be during the day and may not be in your area – so it may be necessary to travel. They will however all be within London.
